Chitty Learns to Fly...

At Absolute Software we are used to working on a wide range of projects, but we have to admit that giving a 1920s racing car wings was a new one for us! We taught Chitty Chitty Bang Bang how to fly!

Our client was modifying one of the original six cars from the film to have automated fold-out wings and propellers. Our involvement was to design and implement the embedded software required for the sequencing of the animatronics. This project involved motor control, sensor monitoring and implementation of a radio key-fob.
