Allen & Heath design and manufacture world class mixing desks. They have an extensive R&D team but an ambitious product development plan. To ensure focus on their core products, they approached us to assist with the software design of their first digital Xone product.

Central to the Xone:3D mixer is the USB soundcard. This required low level USB programming for transporting audio, MIDI and control data. Given the live nature of the application, a reliable, low-latency implementation was required.

We also worked closely with Allen & Heath to produce a cutting-edge beat-detection feature. This project also involved sophisticated I2C design, SPI, hardware MIDI, reliable bootloading and multi-processor design.
