At Absolute Software we have a wide experience of embedded software design for consumer products. This includes design product which support Dolby/DTS decoding.
In one recent project, we developed a sound-card for a multi-media gateway. This involved receiving audio streams from multiple sources, some of which were encoded multi-channel digital audio signals. For more details on this project see the Vivadi page in our portfolio.
Developing embedded software for any digital audio system requires an intimate knowledge of the electronics involved and the right tools for the job. At Absolute Software we understand that high frequency digital signals should be treated as analogue signals. We also have the latest in mixed signal digital oscilloscopes to ensure we can test and debug your products effectively.
For Dolby/DTS decoding we would recommend the Cirrus Logic chipsets. In the Vivadi project (mentioned above) we utilised the CS493000 audio dsp family.
